Christmas: When It's Time To Make A Difference

I have often asked myself the question, "Why did Jesus come when He did?" Don't get me wrong I am glad He did. Obviously He came at the right time. But why then? Why not come 400 years earlier? Why not come now? I just can't answer the question.

What I do know is this. Mankind needed a Savior.

Matthew 9:36 When he (Jesus) saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

When is it time to make a difference in someone's life? When your compassion kicks in. Especially when you see that the world is harassing them. When they are helpless to defend themselves. When they are lost without hope.

I don't know why the first Christmas was over 2,000 years ago.  But God thought it was necessary to do something right then and there.

This Christmas determine that you are going to make a difference.  If you don't know when or where you are going to do that, don't worry - I think God will arrive to help you right on time.

PRAY: Dear Jesus, help me to make a difference in someone's life this Christmas.  Give me the courage to step up and the resource to act.  AMEN.
