The End of the World?

Well, the truth is finally out.  We're still here.  I'm not surprised in the least bit.  But there is something sinister about all of it that disturbs me.

I've lived through 88 Reasons (That was back in 1988)
I've lived through Y2K
I've lived through Harold Camping (1994 and 2011)
I've survived the predictions of Jeane Dixon, Pat Robertosn, Jerry Falwell and others.

But here is what disturbs me.  All these false prophets have jaded peoples hearts to the truth.

There is a day of reckoning coming for planet earth.

1 Thess. 4:16  For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

The Rapture, The Great Tribulation and more will happen.  We don't know when it will happen but it will.  Here is the difference between us and all the others.

We don't sell all our stuff, run the credit cards up and have our pets killed and stuffed.  (Yes, that has happened).  We don't have to commit mass suicide.  We don't have to scare the world half to death.

We do live like Jesus.  We do let people know that they don't have to go through it all.  We do let people know that there will be a new future and hope for them in Christ.  Doomsday isn't about doom for Christians.  It's about Victory in Jesus!!
