Change and the Battle Within - Part 2

Why are so many leaders afraid of change.

#1 - Change creates fear. All of us have a fear of the unknown. Change, is about our future. The ultimate unknown.

#2 - Change can be expensive. Where is there is little to no risk - change is usually accepted. But if purposed change comes with a high price tag (personal, financial, spiritual, etc.) then we tend to be more resistant.

#3 Change intimidates - There is something about change (if you let it) will intimidate you to no end. This can some in a couple of ways. Change will try to bully you into doing something that you don't want to do. It is here that you need to know who you are, why you are here (your God given purpose in life), what your goals, vision and mission is, what your strengths and weaknesses are. Without the knowledge AND WISDOM that comes from these facts and beliefs that you place your faith in - change will toy with you like a cat with a mouse.

#4 Change challenges you publicly and to your face. Change is change. It doesn't care what you think or how it effects your life. If you try to ignore it - it will embarrass you. If you try to dismiss it without good reason - it will haunt you. If you try to appease it - it will mock you. If you embrace it (but don't own it) - it will depress you. If you embrace it (but own it) - it will love you and you will love it.
