Which Road Are You On?

All of us entered this world the same way. BIRTH When I was born the first thing the doctor said about me was, "Look at the shoulders on this kid!!" I know, to much information. But I still have problems buying shirts that don't look like a tent on me. (And don't get me started about buying shoes.)

When we enter this world there is one thing that is going to happen, we are going to die! Hebrews 9:27 This is a given. So the world we live in takes the point of view to get as much out of today for tomorrow they might die. I can see why they would want to do that. Looking forward to a coffin just doesn't sound like much fun!

I call this the Road from Birth to Death. Because all of us have sinned, Rom 3:23. Not only are we going to experience physical death, but we are going to experience a spiritual one too! It's called hell. Revelation 20:14-15 The trip from birth to death is what this world is about. We envy people whose trip is filled with seeing the wonders of this world. We stand in awe of great minds like Einstein and others who stretch our understanding of this road. We hurt for those whose road is filled with poverty, pain, abuse and the like.

But understand this! The world you live in is all about this road. Everything from birth to death. Jesus understood this when He walked on this earth. ( John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” NIV 84) People who don't know or believe that there is a different road for their life reject Jesus. Others try to splice Jesus into the road from birth to death, making Him fit their version of their road. (That never works)

Tomorrow I will share with you the road that Jesus promotes, but here is a hit. There isn't a birth or a death!
